A Primer on US Primaries

Dr Oh Ei Sun started the talk with a brief introduction to the election system of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, with the focus on the Presidential Elections which takes place every 4 years, on the Tuesday after 1st Monday in November.

Unlike Taiwan, the US president is chosen via Indirect Elections by “electors” in “Electoral College”. These Electors are chosen by methods established by individual states.
